I was raised working in a family owned small business. My father James Blom was a watchmaker and jeweler. I was guided at an early age to pay attention to the details of everyday work. I started early in the family business, by 7th grade I was working on a part time basis everyday before and after school. Through the duties of cleaning and restoring jeweled watch movements and clocks, I was taught to focus on extremely fragile and tiny parts. These opportunities molded the way I approach every project I am asked to restore.
